Tallulah & The Man are a two-piece band from Toronto, ON via St. John’s, NL.
Their music combines deep rooted indie rock sensibilities with a powerful punk pop vibe. With “instrumentation ranging from sweet, delicate layering to thick electric rock–the depths of downtown St. John’s and the heights of outer space meet here…. Tallulah’s vocals are equal parts bitch-goddess rage and girlish fragility, with songs of loss, forgiveness, frustration, scars, bruises, love, and the universe.” – The Scope. According to the Telegram, Tallulah “could sing a laundry list and make is sound mellifluous.”
Known for their work in Lizband, and The Black Bags (with Marcel Levandier), and The Sauce (with Colleen Power), Tallulah & The Man are Multiple SOCAN, ECMA and MusicNL award nominees. Tallulah is the recipient of the Stompin’ Tom Connors Award from the East Coast Music Association, and a Lifetime Membership Award from MusicNL.
Not just working musicians, Tallulah & The Man are known as scene builders, co-founding the Independent Artists Cooperative, Rock Can Roll Records, and the Rock Can Roll Music and Media Festival in NL before relocating to Toronto in 2017 to pursue new opportunities. Since then, they have been working on the forefront of innovation in digital media and Virtual Reality technology with the BBMC, a Canadian artists collective, which they also co-founded; and presenting performance artworks such as The Invisabilities Project, a street level performance about invisible wounds, programmed at the Toronto Fringe.
Their first full-length album as Tallulah & The Man is currently in production and due to be released in the fall of 2024.
