Women From The Future is a BBMC project that features bold, contemporary performance from Canadian women innovators. WFTF produce timely, challenging and experimental theatre, media, and performance art created by women and non-binary people. WFTF develop new and innovative scripts and create unique performance experiences that incorporate multiple formats and disciplines.

Past WFTF Creatrixes have included Tracey Waddleton (Montreal), Catherine Falkner (Vancouver), Renee Hackett (St. John’s), Wendi Smallwood (St. John’s), Tina Pearson (Victoria) and Liz Solo (Toronto). WFTF productions have taken audiences on inter-galactic journeys of identity questing, experimentation, and deep identity exploration.  Our most recent production happened at The Factory Theatre in Toronto with work that merged stand-up comedy with storytelling, ancestral investigation, soundscape, projected visuals, and space!
